Copeland Coating Company is located at 3600 US Route 20 in Nassau, New York, just East of Albany, New York. Copeland Coating has been in business since 1945, manufacturing, distributing and applying recreational surfacing products and pavement coating systems.

In recent years Copeland Coating has expanded it's scope of work to include a number of DOT/Heavy Highway traffic calming and streetscape projects. 

Copeland Coating has more years of running track installations than any other company in the United States. Copeland Coating installed their first polyurethane bound track surface in Syracuse, New York in 1980. That year, the site was chosen to host the National Sports Festival, an olympic qualifying track and field event.

For over 60 years, the Copeland Coating Company has been delivering outstanding quality, at a fair value in a very timely manner to meet the needs of architects, contractors and owners. John Copeland graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1973 and started Copeland Coating Company that same year as a satellite office of his families Connecticut based athletic surfacing and pavement maintenance business. Copeland Coating Co. manufactures as well as installs athletic surface systems and pavement maintenance products throughout the Northeast. John's 38 years of experience, his dedication to quality and service and his rapport with contractors and customers alike has attributed to Copeland's great reputation.
 

Steve Hinding is a 1981 graduate of the University of Connecticut with 30 years experience in the athletic surfacing business. Steve shares John's dedication to quality and service and has made a valuable contribution to Copeland's growth since 1989.
 

A 1989 graduate of SUNY Fredonia, Matt graduated with a degree in accounting and finance. Today Matt has his CPA certification and has been instrumental in Copeland's growth and expansion.

Peter Kulzer has been an expert surface installer for 22 years. Today, Peter's responsibilities include the scheduling and coordinating of the entire contracting workload at Copeland. He is also instrumental in employee training.
 
Carl Aiken PE - (CTB - Certified Track Builder)

Carl Aiken graduated from Union College in 1984 with a degree in Engineering. He has had 21 years experience with running track design, layout, certification and line marking. Carl is a Certifed Track Builder (sanctioned by the American Sports Builders Association). Carl has performed layout work/striping on over 500 running track projects with Copeland Coating since 1990. Carl has experience at all levels of track and field competition ranging from High School (NHSF) to NCAA to IAAF.
